Brussels, 20-5-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — KBC takes note of the legal action started before the President of the Brussels Court of Commerce by four private customers of Blagosostoyanie against the Russian pension fund’s acquisition of Absolut Bank, KBC’s banking subsidiary in Russia.
The hearing planned for yesterday has been postponed at the request of the plaintiffs.
Recently, two similar actions were initiated in Russia. Based on the information KBC currently has available, the plaintiffs withdrew their claims even before they appeared in court.
KBC will submit its factual and legal observations to the Brussels Court and, unless necessary, will refrain from making any other public statement pending the proceedings.
