San Donato Milanese (Milan), 20-Sep-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — In relation to Saipem’s activities in Algeria during the period 2007-2011, Eni welcomes today’s judgment of acquittal since there was no case by the Court of Milan.
The judgment reiterates the 2015 acquittal by the Preliminary Hearing Judge (GUP) of the Court of Milan, confirming that the company and its management were not involved in the alleged illegal activities.
Eni is pleased that the Court of Milan judgement reaffirms the findings of several previous inquiries carried out by the company and independent third parties, which had already found no involvement on the part of Eni and its management in alleged illegal or corrupt activity.
