(PRESS RELEASE) OSLO, 19-Aug-2021 — /EuropaWire/ — Hafslund Eco, Nordic region’s largest power company that only operates renewable energy, has announced it signed a long-term agreement with Hydro for the supply of 680 GWh of hydropower as part of a contract that runs from 2022 to 2028 with delivery in price area NO3.
Hafslund Eco has significantly increased its production portfolio in recent years and operates a production of more than 21 TWh. Hafslund Eco has a good collaboration with Hydro and signed a similar agreement in April and two long-term power supply agreements last year. The agreements with Hydro are part of Hafslund Eco’s focus on long-term power contracts and PPAs, and the company recently established a new department for bilateral trade.
The agreement has been signed between the subsidiaries Hafslund Eco Vannkraft AS and Hydro Energi AS with delivery in price area NO3 from 1.1 2022 to 31.12 2028.
