Joint Study Suggests Safe Extension of LNG Carrier Tank Inspection Intervals with Advanced Monitoring Technology
(IN BRIEF) Paris-based GTT has entered into a Technical Assistance and License Agreement (TALA) with COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore, a subsidiary of China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited. Under this agreement, COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore gains the rights to construct GTT’s advanced technologies for offshore LNG units, including Floating Liquefied Natural Gas vessels (FLNGs) and Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs), as well as Liquefied Gas Carriers. This partnership signifies GTT’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Chinese market and advancing LNG technology construction.
(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 1-Dec-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — GTT has signed a Technical Assistance and License Agreement (TALA) with the Chinese shipyard COSCO shipping (Qidong) Offshore, a subsidiary of China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited, one of the largest integrated shipping and logistics companies in the world.
This new agreement enables the yard to construct GTT’s technologies, for offshore LNG units, such as FLNGs1 or FSRUs2, as well as for Liquefied Gas Carriers.
