Positive conclusion to the review of Generali’s debt ratings by all the main rating agencies, following the creation of Generali Italia
29-8-2013 — /EuropaWire/ — Trieste – Fitch has affirmed Generali’s IFS rating at ‘A-‘ (outlook negative). The rating agency also affirmed Generali’s senior and subordinated notes at ‘BBB+’ and ‘BBB-’ respectively, removing them from Rating Watch Negative, which was conferred on the Group last March.
The confirmation of Generali’s debt ratings by Fitch positively concludes the review by all the main rating agencies, after the establishment of Generali Italia.
Fitch highlights “Generali’s good operating performance in H113, lower level of impairments and the enhanced focus of the new management to preserve capital and reduce debt”. The agency also “views the group’s focus on its core markets and simplification positively”.
