WIESBADEN, 24-3-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Germany exported goods to the value of 1,133.5 billion euros and imported goods to the value of 916.6 billion euros in 2014. Based on preliminary results, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that Germany achieved an export surplus of 216.9 billion euros. It clearly exceeded the previous peak of 195.3 billion euros reached in 2007. In 2013, the surplus of the foreign trade balance had been +195.0 billion euros.
