WIESBADEN, 22-12-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — In 2014, 12% of enterprises in Germany have bought IT services from external providers over the internet, which are also known as cloud computing services. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the use of cloud computing services largely depends on enterprise size. While 27% of large enterprises with 250 persons employed or more already use IT services from the “cloud”, only 10% of small enterprises (10 to 49 persons employed) do so. The reasons given by enterprises in Germany which do not use cloud computing services are security concerns (37%) and legal uncertainties (32%).
