17-7-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — Metrowagonmash (MWM, a part of CJSC Transmashholding) has signed a contract with Kiev metro operator for supply of 40 cars of 81-717.5М/714.5М model
8 five-car trains will be shipped to the customer by the end of this year. The cars meet fire safety and environmental requirements. Car design and equipment arrangement guarantee safety of passengers and service personnel. Low-combustible and non-combustible materials are used for saloon and cabin interior.
Both natural and forced ventilation systems and sliding vent windows maintain climatic comfort.
Horizontal handrails above seats are mounted for standing passengers in saloons, as well as vertical handrails by front doors and near doorways by seats. Separate modules with luminescent lamps form a lighting line in a passenger saloon.
Metrowagonmash and Kiev metro operator has been long-time partners. Currently, about 50% of metro cars manufactured by Mytishi plant are being operated in Kiev subway. As of today, the last batch of 42 intermediate cars was transferred in 2010.
