Valletta, Malta, 07-Nov-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — The Central Bank of Malta and the Professionals, Finance and Services (PFS) Section of the General Workers Union (GWU), representing the Bank’s non-clerical employees, have today signed a collective agreement covering the period 2016 to 2019.
The agreement aims to improve the balance between the continuing need for higher efficiencies and quality to meet today’s requirements and improved conditions for the Bank’s employees. The agreement also introduces more flexibility in work arrangements.
In a brief address the Governor of the Central Bank of Malta and the Secretary of the PFS Section of the GWU acknowledged that the agreement addressed and settled important issues for both the Bank and the Union.
