Belgacom’s Dominique Leroy wins the Trends Business Women Award in the category of CEO

Brussels, Belgium, 13-5-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — On Thursday 8 May, Dominique Leroy won the Trends Business Women Award in the category of CEO. This event, assisted by Céline Fremault, the Brussels Economy Minister, rewards female executives who, through their work, professional qualities and charisma, are a source of inspiration for their colleagues.

This year, a jury composed of academics, company directors and journalists selected three nominees from among 100 or so candidates, in the following categories: manager, CEO and founder. The jury based its decision on the charismatic and inspiring personality of the candidate but also on the financial performance of their company. The final result was determined partly by the jury’s choice and partly by a vote on the “Trends” and “Tendances” websites.

That is how Dominique Leroy won against candidates such as Evelien Putman from Tailormade Logistics and Barbara Stadsbader from Secretary Plus.

“The aim of these awards is very clear: to highlight the models to be followed and increase their visibility”, stressed the event organizers.
