Banco de Portugal launches its first app for smartphones and tablets
LISBON, 8-4-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Today, 6 April 2015, Banco de Portugal launches its first app for smartphones and tablets.
This first app comes completely free of charge and provides useful information and services from Banco de Portugal.
The functionality available in this app is that used most often by the general public on Banco de Portugal’s institutional site. In particular, with this app the user may: consult the latest press releases from Banco de Portugal; access the latest speeches made by the Governor, Vice-Governors and members of the Board of Directors of Banco de Portugal; see the key statistical indicators for Portugal and the euro area; calculate foreign exchange rates; obtain interest rate simulations and the final capital and interest applied for them.
The app is available in Portuguese and English. It can be downloaded and installed through Apple Store and Google Play.
