LONDON, 09-Feb-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — Shareholders are referred to the announcement released today by Illovo Sugar Limited (“Illovo”), Associated British Foods plc (“ABF”) 51.35% held subsidiary, whereby it confirms ABF has made a non-binding expression of interest to Illovo, to potentially acquire all the remaining issued ordinary shares of Illovo that ABF does not already own. ABF intends to make an offer of ZAR20 per Illovo ordinary share, to be settled in cash to all other shareholders.
At this stage there can be no certainty that the discussions will result in a transaction. A further announcement will be made in due course.
