ANDRITZ expands offerings for food and feed industries with alternative protein solutions

The company will help customers scale up their production of alternative proteins and provide support over the entire equipment life, with a focus on sources such as peas, pulses, lentils, insects, and animal residues. ANDRITZ experts are working with customers to find the best solution for their alternative protein production needs. The tailored solutions include concept design, process engineering, realization, automation, and service. ANDRITZ has proven technologies for all key process steps and is building an innovative test center in the Netherlands to validate customers’ concepts.

The new offering will initially focus on alternative protein sources such as peas, pulses, lentils, insects, and animal residues, with more to come soon.

The tailored end-to-end solutions include concept design, process engineering, realization, automation, and service. ANDRITZ has proven technologies for all key process steps available in the group, including milling, conditioning, dewatering, drying, extrusion, and pelleting – all backed by innovative process automation and proven global service. To produce alternative proteins, ANDRITZ will draw upon the broadest product portfolio worldwide as well as its expertise in project management by dedicated and experienced teams.
