(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 24-Aug-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — ANDRITZ (VIE: ANDR), an international technology group based in Austria, has proudly announced that it has been awarded a significant contract to supply a state-of-the-art HERB recovery boiler along with advanced digitalization solutions for installation at Moorim P&P’s esteemed pulp and paper facility located in Ulsan, South Korea. This strategic collaboration marks a pivotal step towards enhancing both the economic and environmental sustainability of the mill’s operational processes.

The comprehensive agreement, formalized in partnership with SGC eTEC E&C, a leading power plant supplier, encompasses the engineering, principal equipment provision for the boiler, cutting-edge digitalization solutions in the form of ANDRITZ’s autonomous recovery boiler solutions, enabling maximal utilization of the boiler’s capabilities, and an innovative ash treatment system.

The incoming HERB recovery boiler, poised to replace two existing boiler units, is set to revolutionize chemical recovery from black liquor, delivering heightened efficiency levels at reduced emissions. In tandem with the integration of a novel steam turbine, this transformational addition will notably amplify the mill’s capacity for renewable energy production.
