ANDRITZ provides turnkey order for new tissue production line at MG TEC Industry’s Romanian mill

(IN BRIEF) MG TEC Industry has successfully started the second complete tissue production line at its Dej, Romania-based mill. The turnkey order included a PrimeLineCOMPACT tissue machine, a complete stock preparation system, pumps, automation, hall ventilation, and electrification. The company aims to produce sustainable tissue products while keeping energy-efficient production and high-quality end products as key targets. The new tissue machine features a steel Yankee for energy-efficient drying, specially designed forming fabrics, a press felt for high dryness, and a suction pressure roll cover for efficient machine throughput. High-efficiency pumps and ANDRITZ Digital Solutions were also included in the scope of supply.

The first line had been initiated in 2021. The turnkey order provided a complete stock preparation system, including an approach flow system and broke handling, along with a PrimeLineCOMPACT tissue machine, automation, hall ventilation, electrification, and pumps.

TwinFlo disc refiners in the stock preparation system allowed for the optimum development of fiber properties, while the ShortFlow concept enabled fast grade changes and high flexibility. The tissue machine, with a 1,900 m/min design speed and 2.85 m paper width, featured a steel Yankee for energy-efficient drying, specially designed forming fabrics, a press felt for high dryness, and a suction pressure roll cover for efficient machine throughput. Additionally, high-efficiency pumps and ANDRITZ Digital Solutions were supplied.
