Logicor and Huhtamaki Foodservice Renew Lease Agreement in Poland

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 8-Jan-2025 — /EuropaWire/ —  Logicor, a leading European owner, manager and developer of logistics real estate, has announced the successful extension of its lease agreement with Huhtamaki Foodservice Sp. z o.o. The agreement covers 34,600 square meters of warehouse space and an additional 2,700 square meters of office space in the No. 1 building, located in Czeladź, Poland.

Huhtamaki Foodservice, a subsidiary of the global leader in sustainable packaging, Huhtamaki Group, has been operating in Poland as part of the company’s European division since 2010. Known for its innovative packaging solutions, Huhtamaki is dedicated to ensuring the hygiene and safety of on-the-go food, beverages, and personal care products, while also working to reduce food waste. The company aims to achieve carbon-neutral production and make all its products recyclable, compostable, or reusable by 2030. Huhtamaki operates in 37 countries and has 103 locations worldwide, with its global headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

The decision to remain in Czeladź reflects Huhtamaki’s satisfaction with the site’s strategic location in the Silesian region, which offers excellent access to qualified labor and enables the company to efficiently serve European markets. According to Adam Pietras, Senior Production and Supply Chain Manager at Huhtamaki Foodservice Poland, the collaboration with Logicor Polska has been key in securing the company’s continued presence. “The improvements and investments Logicor has committed to, along with the revised commercial terms, were essential to our decision to stay here,” Pietras commented.

Piotr Brycki, Senior Asset Manager at Logicor Poland, highlighted that the planned upgrades to the site—such as office and warehouse refurbishments, modifications to the electrical system, and the reconstruction of the parking area—align with the company’s sustainability goals. “This approach to refurbishing rather than building new is in keeping with both Huhtamaki’s and Logicor’s environmental strategies,” Brycki explained. The modernization will also include the expansion of LED installations throughout the building, further enhancing the property’s sustainability.
