EQT Launches New ELTIF Infrastructure Fund to Expand Access to Private Market Investments Across Europe

EQT Launches New ELTIF Infrastructure Fund to Expand Access to Private Market Investments Across Europe

(IN BRIEF) EQT has launched the EQT Nexus ELTIF Infrastructure fund, a new European Long-Term Investment Fund designed to make infrastructure investments more accessible to individual and institutional investors across the EU and EEA. Built on its existing Nexus Infrastructure strategy, the fund offers exposure to a diversified portfolio spanning sectors such as digital infrastructure, energy, transportation, and social infrastructure, while benefiting from EQT’s global investment platform and experience managing significant assets worldwide. By leveraging the ELTIF 2.0 framework, the fund introduces lower investment thresholds and broader distribution channels, enabling a wider investor base to access private markets traditionally limited to institutions. With an initial portfolio covering around 50 companies and subscriptions opening in May 2026, the launch marks a key step in expanding EQT’s wealth solutions platform and supporting long-term investment opportunities in essential infrastructure assets.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 29-Apr-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — EQT has announced the launch of a new European Long-Term Investment Fund (ELTIF) structure for its Nexus Infrastructure evergreen strategy, expanding access to private market investments for individual and institutional investors across the EU and EEA. The new fund, EQT Nexus ELTIF Infrastructure, is designed to lower entry barriers and broaden participation in infrastructure investments traditionally reserved for institutional players.

The initiative is aligned with the updated ELTIF 2.0 regulatory framework, which aims to channel capital into long-term asset classes such as infrastructure, private equity, and real estate. By introducing a lower minimum investment threshold and making the fund available through third-party distributors, including private banks and wealth platforms, EQT is opening opportunities for a wider investor base.

EQT Nexus ELTIF Infrastructure builds on the firm’s existing Nexus Infrastructure evergreen strategy and provides exposure to EQT’s global infrastructure platform. The fund offers access to a diversified range of sectors, including digital infrastructure, energy and environmental assets, transportation and logistics, and social infrastructure, allowing investors to benefit from long-term value creation opportunities.

The fund will allocate capital across EQT’s Value-Add, Active Core, and Transition Infrastructure strategies, as well as its newly introduced AI Infrastructure strategy. These investments focus on essential services that support economic and societal development, spanning various stages of company growth and operational maturity.

With nearly two decades of experience in infrastructure investing, EQT manages approximately EUR 78 billion in assets across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific, supported by a team of over 150 investment professionals. The new fund will launch with a seed portfolio providing exposure to around 50 portfolio companies, offering immediate diversification for investors. Subscriptions are expected to open in May 2026.

Peter Beske Nielsen, Global Head of Wealth Solutions at EQT, highlighted that infrastructure investments can provide long-term growth potential, resilience during market downturns, and protection against inflation. He emphasized that the launch represents a significant step in expanding EQT’s wealth solutions platform and reaching investor segments that have historically had limited access to private markets.

The introduction of EQT Nexus ELTIF Infrastructure follows the firm’s earlier launch of an ELTIF Private Equity fund in 2025. Together, these offerings form part of EQT’s broader evergreen platform, which now includes multiple solutions across private equity, infrastructure, and real estate, available to eligible investors across key global regions.
