Vodafone Business Expands Google Cloud Partnership with New AI and Cybersecurity Solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises

(IN BRIEF) Vodafone Business has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud by launching new AI and cybersecurity solutions designed for small and medium-sized businesses. The new offerings include a managed detection and response service powered by Google Security Operations to enhance real-time threat protection, and an AI Concierge built on Gemini technology to automate customer interactions and business tasks. Initially launching in Germany, with expansion planned across Europe, these solutions aim to make advanced digital tools more accessible to smaller enterprises. The initiative is part of a broader $1 billion strategic partnership focused on accelerating digital transformation and improving competitiveness in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

(PRESS RELEASE) BERKSHIRE, 22-Apr-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Vodafone Business has expanded its collaboration with Google Cloud by introducing new artificial intelligence and cybersecurity solutions aimed at supporting the digital transformation of small and medium-sized businesses. The latest developments build on the companies’ long-term strategic agreement and focus on making advanced technologies more accessible and practical for everyday business use.

A central element of the expansion is the rollout of a next-generation managed detection and response service designed to strengthen protection against increasingly complex cyber threats. Powered by Google Security Operations, the solution combines advanced analytics and AI-driven threat intelligence with Vodafone’s expertise in serving businesses across Europe. It enables organizations to detect, assess, and respond to security risks in real time, helping to reduce vulnerability in an evolving threat landscape. The service will first be introduced in Germany, with further European markets expected to follow.

Alongside its cybersecurity offering, Vodafone Business is launching an AI-driven digital assistant built using Google’s Gemini technology. Known as AI Concierge, the solution is designed to function as an autonomous, multi-modal assistant capable of interacting with customers through voice and data channels. By handling tasks such as responding to inquiries and scheduling appointments, the system allows businesses to maintain customer engagement around the clock while freeing up resources for more strategic activities.

The AI Concierge leverages Vodafone’s connectivity infrastructure to deliver low-latency interactions, enabling more natural communication with customers. It is expected to be available initially in Germany and Greece, with broader deployment anticipated as the solution evolves.

These new services represent a further step in a wider partnership valued at $1 billion over ten years, established in 2024. The collaboration aims to combine Vodafone’s extensive regional presence with Google Cloud’s capabilities in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, providing businesses with tools to enhance competitiveness and operational resilience.

By integrating advanced security and AI capabilities into scalable, user-friendly solutions, Vodafone Business and Google Cloud are working to address the technology gap often faced by smaller enterprises. The initiative reflects a broader trend of embedding intelligent automation and enhanced security into core business processes, helping organizations adapt to a rapidly changing digital environment.
