(PRESS RELEASE) HAMBURG, 10-Aug-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — EVENTIM LIVE, the international promoter group within CTS EVENTIM, has started the first phase of the 2026 European festival season with strong results, as festivals promoted by the group have already welcomed more than one million total attendees.

The early-season performance was led by major festival brands including Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Hurricane, Southside and Nova Rock.

These events once again demonstrated their established positions in the European festival market through strong demand, sold-out editions, record advance ticket sales and expanding digital audiences.

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park both sold out again in 2026, doing so faster than ever before.

Rock am Ring also reached a new digital milestone, with its livestream on MagentaTV achieving the highest digital reach in the festival’s history and generating more than 50 million content views.

Hurricane marked its sold-out 30th anniversary edition, while the combination of Hurricane and Southside again reinforced the twin festivals’ strong position in the European live music market.

Nova Rock also maintained positive momentum, setting new records across several business areas, including food and beverage sales and merchandise.

EVENTIM LIVE said its festival brands are continuing to develop not only in audience reach but also economically.

Sponsorship, digital marketing and tailored brand partnerships are becoming increasingly important alongside ticket sales.

Additional areas such as premium camping, hospitality packages and other value-added services are also contributing to the commercial development of the festivals.

These initiatives are designed to unlock further revenue potential, improve the festival experience for different audience groups and strengthen the long-term economic foundations of the events.

The positive momentum is already visible in advance ticket sales for 2027.

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park have recorded the strongest presale launch in their history.

The announcement of Blink-182’s first-ever appearance at the twin festivals has also created an early international highlight for the 2027 editions.

Hurricane and Southside also exceeded the previous year’s presale figures within the first 24 hours of tickets going on sale.

Nova Rock opened ticket sales significantly ahead of last year’s pace and has announced Die Ärzte as one of its first headliners for 2027.

EVENTIM LIVE said the strong level of early demand provides greater planning certainty and underlines the continuing appeal of its festival brands.

The company added that its diversified festival portfolio, digital reach and expanding commercial activities are helping reinforce its position in the European live entertainment market.
