The facility is designed to enhance engineering capabilities and provide access to advanced automation solutions for customers operating in bulk material handling and port operations across the African continent.

The new Cape Town hub represents a key milestone in Metso’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in high-growth markets. Jabu Mdaki, Chief Executive of Transnet Port Terminals, highlighted that closer access to technical expertise supports more efficient and sustainable operations. The strengthened collaboration is expected to improve maintenance, performance, and overall service delivery.
