(PRESS RELEASE) LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN / VILNIUS, 26-May-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Mercedes-Benz Trucks has received a major order from Lithuanian logistics and transport company TRANSTIRA for more than 500 Actros L ProCabin trucks. The vehicles will be delivered during 2026 and will support TRANSTIRA’s continued expansion in European long-haul transport while contributing to the modernization of its international fleet.

Headquartered in Vilnius, TRANSTIRA is continuing to rely exclusively on Mercedes-Benz Trucks as it grows its long-haul operations. The order reflects the company’s focus on efficient transport solutions, predictable total cost of ownership, digital fleet services, and improved working conditions for drivers.

“A decisive factor in the customer’s decision is predictable fuel consumption, as well as the vehicles’ total operating costs. At the same time, driver comfort, satisfaction, and working conditions are gaining increasing importance,” said Paulius Kraučiūnas, Sales Manager of the Truck Division at Veho, the Lithuanian subsidiary of the Finnish Veho Group responsible for sales and service of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. “The Actros L ProCabin combines efficiency with modern ergonomics and a high level of comfort. This comprehensive package was the deciding factor. TRANSTIRA consistently relies on modern and efficient transport solutions for international road freight transport. We are delighted that the company has once again chosen Mercedes-Benz Trucks to expand its fleet.”

Mercedes-Benz Trucks developed the Actros L ProCabin with a strong focus on aerodynamic performance and fuel efficiency. The vehicle features a front end extended by 80 millimetres, improved airflow management, and reduced panel gaps, all designed to optimise airflow around the truck. In long-haul operations, these aerodynamic enhancements can reduce fuel consumption by up to three percent.

Further efficiency gains are supported by the third generation of the OM 471 diesel engine. The powertrain is designed to enable fuel-efficient driving, reduce operating costs, and support a more predictable total cost of ownership for fleet operators.

TRANSTIRA also placed strong emphasis on driver comfort when selecting the vehicles. The Actros L ProCabin offers upgraded seats, improved beds with mattresses, additional USB-C ports, and an enhanced operating concept. These features are intended to support drivers during long-distance operations and improve the overall working environment inside the cab.

The company will also use Mercedes-Benz Trucks digital services, including My TruckPoint and Fleetboard Uptime. These tools help monitor vehicle data, support maintenance planning, and reduce potential downtime, strengthening operational efficiency across TRANSTIRA’s fleet.

The trucks will be equipped with advanced assistance and safety systems for long-haul operations, including Active Brake Assist 6 Plus and Active Sideguard Assist 2. Predictive Powertrain Control will further support anticipatory and efficient driving on long-distance routes.

With this order, TRANSTIRA is expanding its capacity for international road freight transport while continuing to modernize its fleet with vehicles designed to combine efficiency, digital connectivity, driver comfort, and advanced safety features.
