Indra Group Showcases Digital Air Traffic Management Platform Designed to Support Safer, More Flexible and Automated Aviation Operations

(IN BRIEF) Indra Group will participate in AirSpace World 2026 in Lisbon from 26 to 28 May to showcase its global leadership in air traffic management and present Linkia, its new flagship digital platform for the sector. Linkia has been designed to help air navigation service providers integrate their systems and applications into a common, independent infrastructure, addressing challenges related to technological evolution, cybersecurity, operational flexibility, and the growing complexity of modern air transport. Built natively for ATM and based on IndraMind, the company’s secure and cyber-resilient intelligence platform for critical operations, Linkia supports the gradual adoption of advanced capabilities while meeting strict regulatory and operational requirements. Indra Group will also present its wider ATM portfolio at the event, including ManagAir automation systems, digital and remote towers, radars, aeronautical communications, navigation aids, ILS landing systems, simulation technologies, drone integration platforms, and space-based air navigation solutions. The company’s technologies are used in more than 90% of daily flights worldwide, reinforcing its role as a major technology partner for the modernization of global aviation.

(PRESS RELEASE) MADRID, 26-May-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Indra Group will take part in AirSpace World 2026 in Lisbon from 26 to 28 May, using the global air traffic industry event to reinforce its position as one of the world’s leading technology companies in air traffic management and a key partner in the modernization of international aviation.

The company will present Linkia as its flagship solution at the event. The new digital platform has been developed to help transform air traffic management by giving air navigation service providers a comprehensive response to the growing challenges linked to technological evolution, cybersecurity, operational flexibility, and the increasing complexity of modern air transport.

Linkia is designed as a market-leading solution capable of integrating the operations and updates of air navigation service providers’ systems and applications into a common, independent infrastructure. By offering a flexible and unified digital environment, the platform supports a more efficient and scalable way to manage ATM systems as the aviation sector moves toward more digital, automated, and interconnected operating models.

The platform has been built natively for air traffic management and is based on IndraMind, Indra Group’s secure and cyber-resilient intelligence platform for critical operations. Linkia is designed to allow the gradual integration of new capabilities and advanced technologies while maintaining compliance with the strict operational and regulatory requirements that govern air traffic management. This approach supports the continued evolution of ATM operations toward greater flexibility, digitalization, and automation.

“The transformation of air traffic requires technologies capable of evolving in step with our clients’ operational needs and the challenges that will shape the future of aviation. At Indra Group, we have been leading this evolution for decades alongside the world’s leading air navigation service providers, turning innovation into real capabilities that enable more efficient, safe and sustainable airspace management, with a comprehensive view of the ATM ecosystem that allows us to support our clients in modernising their operations and building the future of aviation,” said Victor Martínez, Executive Vice President of ATM at Indra Group.

Alongside Linkia, Indra Group will also highlight its ability to cover the full air traffic management cycle, from take-off to touchdown. Its solutions include automation, surveillance, communications, navigation, digital towers, simulation, and drone integration technologies, giving air navigation service providers a broad portfolio for managing increasingly complex airspace environments.

A major focus at the company’s AirSpace World 2026 stand will be its digital tower technology, an area in which Indra Group has become an international reference through major projects in Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

In Norway, Indra is contributing to what is described as the world’s first and largest remote tower centre, managing operations at 14 airports. In Saudi Arabia, the company has deployed the Middle East’s first remote tower, connecting Al-Ula Airport with an operations centre in Jeddah more than 500 kilometres away. In Budapest, Indra is implementing one of the world’s most advanced digital towers, designed to manage more than 300 daily operations. In Vancouver, its technology will support apron control with capacity to oversee more than 1,000 operations per day.

Indra Group will also present ManagAir, its advanced and widely deployed ATM automation system, together with its portfolio of digital and remote towers, which includes around 400 references worldwide. The company will showcase its primary and secondary radar systems, with more than 450 deployments in over 90 countries; aeronautical communications solutions operating in more than 160 countries; navigation aids, with more than 8,000 systems installed; and its global leadership in ILS landing systems. Its UTM/U-space platform for the safe integration of drones into controlled airspace will also be part of the display.

At AirSpace World 2026, Indra Group will occupy two stands, including a 270-square-metre space at H1-C26 and a 60-square-metre space at H1-C20. The company will use the spaces for live demonstrations, expert meetings, and immersive presentations with international aviation and air traffic specialists.

With decades of experience in complex air traffic management projects, Indra Group continues to develop solutions covering the entire ATM cycle. Its technology is involved in more than 90% of daily flights worldwide, while its broader portfolio spans ATM automation systems, radars, communications, navigation aids, digital towers, advanced simulation, drone management, and space-based air navigation solutions.
