Rheinmetall to Showcase Tactical Product Portfolio at EnforceTac 2023 Tradeshow

(IN BRIEF) German-based technology company Rheinmetall AG is set to showcase its tactical product portfolio at the 10th anniversary edition of EnforceTac in Nürnberg from February 28 to March 1, 2023. The product lineup from the company’s Vehicle Systems, Weapon and Ammunition, and Electronic Solutions divisions includes the Caracal, a family of compact 4×4 vehicles in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz and ACS Armoured Car Systems, the Survivor R, a high-mobility vehicle for security forces based on a 4×4 MAN chassis, and the Squad Support Weapon SSW 40, the world’s first automatic, magazine-fed, shoulder-fired 40mm grenade launcher, among other products. Additionally, Rheinmetall’s Public Security business unit will showcase its range of components for ballistic body armor, special munitions, and optics for reconnaissance and surveillance, among others.

(PRESS RELEASE) DÜSSELDORF, 23-Feb-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Rheinmetall AG (ETR: RHM), a German integrated technology group active in the automotive and defence industries, announces that from February 28 to March 1, 2023, the company will present part of its tactical product portfolio at the EnforceTac security tradeshow in Nürnberg. As a powerful partner of armed forces and law enforcement agencies, Rheinmetall will showcase its Vehicle Systems, Weapon and Ammunition, and Electronic Solutions divisions to users, procurement officials, and other specialists.

Rheinmetall will feature several highlights of its product portfolio at the 10th anniversary edition of EnforceTac, including:

  • Caracal: A family of versatile, powerful, fast, and compact 4×4 vehicles for lightweight formations such as airmobile and special forces units, offered in cooperation with Mercedes-Benz and ACS Armoured Car Systems.
  • Survivor R: A high-mobility vehicle specially designed for security forces, based on a 4×4 MAN chassis and developed in cooperation with special vehicle maker Achleitner. Germany’s Federal Police and the public order units of several German states have already opted for the latest generation of this special purpose vehicle.
  • Squad Support Weapon SSW 40: The world’s first automatic, magazine-fed, shoulder-fired 40mm grenade launcher, similar in weight, size, and handling to an assault rifle.
  • Special pyrotechnic products: An extensive range of special pyrotechnic products, including the 9-Bang flash-bang grenade and the cuboid Spectac stun grenade, both with bottom top venting technology for maximum handling safety.
  • Paramir: A hand-fired signal system available as an illumination rocket in various colours, an infrared illumination rocket, a smoke signal rocket, and an NBC alarming signal rocket, with rockets that reach an altitude of around 100 metres and an illumination period of approximately 15 seconds.
  • Laser light modules and fire control systems: A family of high-performance LLM-VarioRay laser light modules that have established themselves in the armed forces of many nations, including those of Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Various special operations forces have also introduced the laser light package consisting of the VTAL laser light module and the separate TL-MissionLight weapon torch. The FCS-TacRay Ballistic sniper fire control system features a laser rangefinder with a 2,500-metre range and a ballistic computer for 32 different types of ammunition.
