Atos Introduces Global Sovereign Agentic Studios Model to Accelerate Enterprise Adoption of Production-Ready AI

(IN BRIEF) Atos Group has launched Atos Sovereign Agentic Studios, a new operating model designed to help enterprises deploy agentic AI securely and at scale while maintaining full sovereign control over data, governance, and operational environments. The model addresses a growing challenge for organizations moving beyond AI pilots into real-world deployments, particularly in regulated industries where reliability, compliance, and oversight are essential. Supported by four regional studios and ten global delivery centers across Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the initiative combines global delivery capabilities with localized sovereignty requirements. The strategy is integrated with Atos Amplify, the company’s AI consulting division, and supported by an ecosystem of startups through the Scaler accelerator. Early implementations, including a partnership with the UK’s Defra department, have already demonstrated measurable productivity improvements. By combining agentic AI, digital sovereignty, and cybersecurity, Atos aims to position its Sovereign Agentic Studios as a framework for deploying production-ready AI systems across complex enterprise environments.

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 12-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Atos Group has unveiled Atos Sovereign Agentic Studios (Atos SAS), a new operating model designed to help organizations securely embed agentic artificial intelligence into mission-critical operations and scale it across complex enterprise environments while maintaining sovereign control. The announcement was made in Paris, France on March 12, 2026, and marks a strategic step in Atos’ broader effort to accelerate the practical deployment of AI across regulated industries and critical infrastructure.

As enterprises expand their investment in agentic AI, the central challenge is shifting from experimentation to real-world deployment. Organizations are increasingly seeking ways to ensure that autonomous AI agents operate reliably in production settings where operational stability, regulatory compliance, and data governance are essential.

Industry analysts note that many enterprises struggle to translate AI investments into measurable outcomes once they move beyond pilot programs. Tom Reuner, Principal Analyst at PAC, highlighted that businesses are currently facing an inflection point as they attempt to scale AI solutions while adapting to the realities of production environments. He emphasized that approaches focusing on workforce transformation and governed autonomy can help organizations unlock business value from their AI initiatives, particularly in highly regulated sectors or environments influenced by geopolitical complexities.

Atos positions sovereignty as a foundational operational principle rather than a compliance requirement. With the Atos Sovereign Agentic Studios, organizations maintain direct authority over how and where AI autonomy is applied, how decisions are governed, and how data and models operate across national jurisdictions. This framework is intended to give enterprises the flexibility to implement advanced AI capabilities while preserving control over critical digital assets.

Unlike experimental AI frameworks, the Atos SAS model is designed from the outset for real-world deployment. Security, governance, and human oversight are built into the architecture, enabling companies to move from individual high-value AI use cases toward fully governed agentic workflows. By prioritizing a production-ready approach, Atos aims to allow organizations to scale AI autonomy in areas where it delivers measurable value while maintaining oversight where regulatory or operational risks are highest.

The global delivery structure supporting Atos Sovereign Agentic Studios includes four core studio locations and ten global delivery centers. These facilities combine local sovereignty requirements with large-scale delivery capabilities. The network spans multiple strategic regions, including the United Kingdom, the United States, France, and Germany.

In Birmingham, UK, the studio focuses on sovereign-aligned AI solutions for regulated and mission-critical operations. In Texas, United States, the center supports early-stage deployments targeting high-priority use cases. In France, two studios contribute specialized capabilities: one in the southwest dedicated to big-data agents throughout the data lifecycle, and another in the Paris region focused on large-scale industrialization across enterprise applications and cloud infrastructure. Germany further strengthens the network by supporting sovereign-grade delivery capabilities across Europe.

Alongside this global delivery framework, Atos is implementing extensive AI upskilling initiatives across its workforce and client ecosystems to ensure that agentic systems can scale responsibly with the required skills, oversight, and accountability.

The strategy is also closely connected to Atos Amplify, the company’s unified AI-powered consulting division. Through Atos Amplify, organizations receive guidance in identifying high-impact agentic workflows and transforming AI strategies into operational results. The model combines industry expertise with capabilities in AI, cybersecurity, and digital sovereignty to drive measurable business value.

Early implementations of this approach are already producing measurable results. Paul Mukherjee, Chief Technology Officer at the UK Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra), highlighted the impact of the partnership with Atos in modernizing systems for the Animal and Plant Health Agency. The collaboration has achieved a 27 percent productivity improvement in application modernization initiatives, while several AI-driven use cases are now being evaluated for broader deployment.

The Sovereign Agentic Studios initiative is further strengthened by Scaler, Atos’ innovation accelerator, which connects clients with a curated ecosystem of startups working across the agentic AI lifecycle. This ecosystem currently includes companies such as KYP.ai, Ema, Pay-i, Klarity, Poolside, and Noma Security, providing capabilities ranging from process analysis and workforce augmentation to sovereign-grade deployment and ongoing performance governance.

Among these collaborations, Atos has formed a strategic partnership with Poolside, a company specializing in foundation models and autonomous software agents for enterprise environments. The partnership combines Poolside’s AI platform with Atos’ sovereign operating model, enabling organizations to deploy agentic AI systems on their own infrastructure, including highly regulated or secure environments across Europe and other regions.

Atos believes the next phase of enterprise transformation will be defined by the integration of agentic AI into operational systems. Over the coming years, the company aims to position itself at the intersection of agentic AI, digital sovereignty, and cybersecurity, three strategic pillars that underpin its vision for enterprise technology.

Florin Rotar, Chief Technology Officer at Atos Group, emphasized that the key challenge facing organizations today is no longer AI innovation but operational execution. By implementing its own agentic AI operating model internally and acting as “Client Zero,” Atos aims to demonstrate how governed, production-ready AI can be deployed at scale to deliver immediate business value.
