(PRESS RELEASE) HELSINKI, 2-Apr-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Nordic Investment Bank has introduced a series of organisational changes following the retirement of Gunnar Okk, aimed at maintaining operational continuity, clarifying responsibilities, and enhancing alignment across the institution. The updates to the Executive Committee structure came into effect on 1 April 2026.

As part of the restructuring, responsibility for IT has been reassigned to Luca de Lorenzo, who now heads a newly created department combining Sustainability, Mandate, and Digitalisation. This move reflects a more integrated approach to digital transformation and sustainability priorities within the Bank.

The Lending & Treasury Administration function has been reorganized into separate areas. Lending administration responsibilities have been transferred to Jeanette Vitasp, while Back Office Administration is now overseen by Kim Skov Jensen. In parallel, a new Treasury unit has been established within the Treasury and Finance department, including the appointment of a dedicated Treasurer to further strengthen financial operations.

Additionally, responsibility for Office Services and Facilities has been moved under Jukka Ahonen, who leads the newly formed Corporate Affairs department. This department consolidates Communications and Corporate Services, supporting a more unified approach to internal and external operations.

The Bank has also rebranded its HR function as People and Culture, elevating it to operate as a standalone department rather than within the President and CEO’s Office, reflecting an increased emphasis on organisational development and employee engagement.

André Küüsvek noted that these changes represent an important step in the Bank’s continued evolution. He acknowledged Gunnar Okk’s contributions over the years and expressed appreciation for his service as he steps into retirement.
