Dr. Achim Sties to lead BASF’s global plastic additives business unit

(PRESS RELEASE) LUDWIGSHAFEN, 12-Jan-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — BASF (ETR: BAS), the world’s largest chemical producer, has announced the appointment of Dr. Achim Sties as the new Senior Vice President of its plastic additives business unit. The appointment will take effect on January 1, 2023, with the headquarters of the business located in Singapore. Dr. Sties has previously led the plastic additives business in Europe and has held various positions within the company since joining in 2005. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
