(PRESS RELEASE) MLADÁ BOLESLAV, 17-Aug-2026 — /EuropaWire/ —Škoda is highlighting a wide range of Simply Clever features designed to make summer holidays, weekend trips and outdoor activities easier for drivers and passengers across its model range.

The brand’s Simply Clever solutions are intended to support everyday comfort, storage, convenience and customer-focused practicality.

As electric mobility continues to develop, Škoda is also expanding the Simply Clever portfolio with features such as Vehicle-to-Load, Camp Mode and wellbeing functions for the all-new Škoda Peaq.

Škoda said summer travel often requires extra luggage space, charging options and flexible onboard solutions.

The company’s Simply Clever features are designed to address these needs, whether customers are travelling on holiday, heading out for a day trip or carrying equipment for outdoor activities.

Hydration, storage and a cleaner cabin

Bottle holders in the doors of current Škoda models can hold bottles of up to 1.5 litres.

Depending on the model, rear-seat passengers can store 1.5-litre, one-litre or 0.5-litre bottles.

Additional storage in the rear tunnel and a waste bin in the door pocket help keep the cabin organised.

The Easy Open cupholder in the centre console holds a 0.5-litre PET bottle securely in place, allowing it to be opened with one hand.

Charging devices, including on hot days

Depending on the specification, Škoda vehicles offer up to four USB-C ports with outputs of up to 45 W for charging devices such as phones, tablets, headphones and power banks.

The ventilated Phone Box, available depending on the model, helps prevent mobile phones from overheating during wireless charging.

In the Kodiaq and Peaq, the driver and front passenger can charge their phones wirelessly at the same time.

Practical help when plans change

One of Škoda’s best-known Simply Clever features remains the umbrella stored in the driver’s door.

In some models, an umbrella is also available in the front passenger door.

It is securely stowed and kept within easy reach for unexpected changes in the weather.

The MyŠkoda app also includes an AI-based trip planner designed to make journey planning simpler.

Comfort for rear-seat passengers

Rear passengers can use storage pockets on the backs of the front seats, including dedicated spaces for items such as phones, books, tablets or headphones.

Additional USB-C ports are also available.

In the Octavia and Superb, the Sleep Package offers added comfort for longer journeys.

Keeping the boot organised

Škoda’s net programme, bag hooks and Cargo elements help keep items securely positioned in the boot.

Bags can be hung from hooks, while smaller items can be held in nets or secured with Cargo elements.

Compartments for warning vests in the door panels help keep this safety equipment accessible when needed.

Power for external devices

Škoda is expanding its Simply Clever features as electric mobility develops, introducing new ways to use onboard energy and improve comfort.

For the current model year, bidirectional charging is one of the new additions to Škoda’s electric models.

Vehicle-to-Load, or V2L, uses energy from the traction battery to power external electrical devices.

This can be done through a 230 V socket in the boot or through an adapter from Škoda Genuine Accessories connected to the vehicle’s charging socket.

The function allows users to charge phones, laptops, cameras and power banks, as well as devices such as travel kettles and e-bikes.

Camp Mode for occasional overnight stays

Camp Mode is designed for occasional overnight stays inside the vehicle.

Once activated through the MyŠkoda app, it maintains the selected interior temperature throughout the night and provides a continuous supply of fresh air.

The function requires a battery charge of at least 30 percent, a 12 V starter battery in good condition and a stable internet connection.

Relax Package debuts in the Peaq

The optional Relax Package for the all-new Škoda Peaq makes its debut in the Škoda range and turns the vehicle into a comfortable place to rest during long journeys, charging stops and other breaks.

The package includes electrically adjustable and heated AGR-certified seats with a massage function.

It also includes electrically adjustable ergonomic leg rests and, in Suite interiors, seat ventilation.

The package features a premium Sonos sound system and a Wellbeing app with six modes, including options for relaxation, stretching and re-energising.

Depending on the selected mode, the app adjusts climate control, ambient lighting and seat massage functions.

Other comfort features include cushions on the front head restraints and a foldable table in the centre console.

Extra storage under the bonnet

In the seven-seater version of the Peaq, the roller boot cover can be stored under the bonnet when the third row of seats is in use.

The front storage compartment also provides space for charging cables and a charging-cable cleaner.

This helps keep the boot organised and separates charging equipment from personal belongings.

Škoda said the availability of individual Simply Clever features varies by model, equipment and market.

Through its expanding Simply Clever portfolio, the brand is continuing to focus on practical, customer-oriented features that make daily driving, long-distance travel and electric mobility more convenient.
