Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Girteka Agree on the Delivery of 500 Actros L ProCabin

(IN BRIEF) Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Girteka Logistics have agreed on the phased delivery of 500 Actros L ProCabin trucks throughout 2026. The investment supports Girteka’s fleet modernization and expansion of its European long-haul operations. The trucks feature improved aerodynamics, advanced safety and assistance systems, predictive powertrain technology and a fully digital cockpit. The agreement aligns with Girteka’s long-term growth strategy and comes as the company celebrates 30 years of operations in European road transport.

(PRESS RELEASE) LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN, 4-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Girteka Logistics have signed an agreement covering the delivery of 500 Actros L ProCabin trucks. The vehicles will be handed over in stages throughout 2026 and integrated into Girteka’s European long-haul network as part of its ongoing fleet renewal and capacity expansion strategy.

The new trucks are set to support Girteka’s growth in international long-distance transport, reinforcing its operational capabilities across Europe. The agreement reflects Girteka’s continued focus on maintaining service reliability, modernizing its fleet and scaling operations in line with long-term demand trends.

Pavel Kveten, CEO of Girteka Logistics, emphasized that the investment aligns with the company’s disciplined, forward-looking fleet strategy. He noted that the Actros L ProCabin meets Girteka’s operational standards for international transport, while strengthening efficiency, safety and driver comfort. The trucks will play a key role in supporting the company’s temperature-controlled and high-care cargo services, enhancing operational consistency and quality control across its European network.

Optimized cab design for improved efficiency

The Actros L ProCabin features a redesigned cab architecture developed to improve aerodynamic performance. An extended front section measuring 80 millimeters longer, along with refined transitions and aerodynamically optimized body components, reduces drag and supports more fuel-efficient long-haul operations.

Advanced driver assistance systems

The vehicles are equipped with the latest generation of Active Brake Assist, integrating radar and camera technologies to detect moving, stationary or crossing vehicles. Within system limits, the technology can automatically initiate braking to a complete stop. Active Sideguard Assist 2 monitors both sides of the vehicle and provides warnings of objects approaching laterally. When turning at speeds up to 20 km/h, the system can apply braking on the passenger side if earlier alerts are not addressed.

Predictive Powertrain Control further enhances efficiency by using topographic and route data to enable anticipatory driving, contributing to optimized fuel consumption on long-distance routes.

Digital cockpit and connectivity

All 500 trucks will feature the MultiMedia Cockpit Interactive2. A high-resolution 12-inch instrument display combined with an optimized touchscreen allows drivers to manage key vehicle functions intuitively. Many settings can also be configured via voice control, supporting ease of use and operational focus.

Strengthening long-haul leadership

The agreement comes as Girteka marks its 30th anniversary. Over the past three decades, the company has evolved from a regional transport provider into one of Europe’s leading full truckload operators. With a strategy centered on operating its own fleet and employing professional drivers, Girteka maintains direct control over service delivery and operational standards. Continued investments in fleet, technology and workforce development underpin its long-term expansion strategy.
