The platform focuses on Generation Alpha, estimated at around 2.5 billion people globally in 2026, and helps customers understand how this group’s expectations, rituals, identities and behaviors may shape future product and brand experiences. SYM ALPHA™ combines sensory workshops, cultural intelligence, behavioral insights and AI-supported validation to help companies test early-stage concepts, strengthen product relevance and make faster, more confident go-to-market decisions. The initiative is led by Paula Limena, a consumer-culture and innovation-strategy expert with more than 20 years of experience across health, wellness, ingredients and branded innovation. The initiative is designed to help customers better understand Generation Alpha and turn the expectations of this emerging consumer group into relevant products, sensory experiences and faster innovation decisions.

Generation Alpha, broadly covering children aged around 8 to 14, is estimated to include approximately 2.5 billion people worldwide in 2026, making it the largest generation globally. Based on those results, Symrise is scaling the platform in 2026 as a strategic capability for selected Scent & Care customers.

The Think Tank is structured to support innovation from the earliest stages.
