(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 2-Apr-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — ABL has entered into a master services agreement with Maridive & Oil Services, the owner and operator of Egypt’s largest offshore fleet, to provide marine assurance and risk management support for offshore operations.

The agreement, which spans two years, enables ABL’s Egypt-based team to deliver a broad range of specialized services to support Maridive’s fleet. These services include industry-standard audits, vessel and marine asset inspections, pre-purchase surveys, and advisory support related to dynamic positioning (DP). In addition, ABL will provide consulting services for critical systems, including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), helping to enhance operational safety and performance.

Tamer Gamil emphasized the long-standing collaboration between the two companies, highlighting their joint efforts in advancing operational efficiency and safety. He pointed to previous work on improving the performance of DP2 vessels during stern thruster changeovers as an example of successful innovation that has reduced operational risk. The new agreement further strengthens this relationship, supporting reliable and efficient offshore vessel operations within Egypt’s energy sector.

Maridive operates an extensive fleet across key regions including the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, North and West Africa, and the Asia-Pacific. Its portfolio includes offshore support vessels, mooring boats, diving support vessels, multi-purpose vessels, platform supply vessels, and anchor-handling tug supply vessels, positioning the company as a significant player in offshore services.

Muhammad Fouda noted that formalizing the collaboration with ABL reinforces Maridive’s commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. He highlighted ABL’s technical expertise and the companies’ shared focus on practical innovation as key factors in supporting high-performance offshore operations.

ABL has been active in Egypt since 2018 and has established a strong presence in the market, holding more than 90% share in marine assurance and dynamic positioning services. In recent years, the company has expanded its capabilities through the inclusion of Longitude, its sister company and the design and engineering arm of the ABL Group ASA. Together, ABL and Longitude offer integrated offshore engineering and consultancy solutions to clients in the energy and maritime sectors.
