Vattenfall Names Johan Dasht as New Head of Hydro and Nuclear Power Operations

(IN BRIEF) Vattenfall has announced the appointment of Johan Dasht as the new Senior Vice President of its Business Area Generation, which focuses on hydro and nuclear power operations. Dasht, who currently heads Vattenfall’s hydro operations in the Nordics, will assume the role on November 1, replacing Torbjörn Wahlborg. Dasht brings over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, including leadership roles at SKB and OKG AB. Vattenfall CEO Anna Borg praised his leadership and expertise, expressing confidence in his ability to further develop the company’s electricity production.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 26-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Vattenfall has named Johan Dasht as the new Senior Vice President of its Business Area Generation, which oversees the company’s hydro and nuclear power operations. Dasht, currently responsible for Vattenfall’s hydro operations in the Nordics, will assume his new role on November 1, succeeding Torbjörn Wahlborg, who is stepping down after a long and successful career.

With over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, including 15 years in nuclear power, Johan Dasht joined Vattenfall in 2020 as CEO of SKB, Sweden’s nuclear fuel and waste management company. He has also served as CEO of OKG AB, another Swedish nuclear energy firm.
