Thales Acknowledged for Impactful Innovations in Clarivate’s Top 100 Global Innovators™ 2023

This recognition marks the 10th time Thales has been listed in the Top 100 Global Innovators, acknowledging the company’s unique strategy of innovation for dual civil and military markets and its critical role in developing systems that impact the safety and security of individuals, countries, and infrastructure.

Thales’ innovation potential is underpinned by the work of 3,000 researchers and 30,000 engineers in research and development. Each year, the company invests 4 billion euros in R&D, with 1 billion euros self-financed. Thales files between 350 and 400 new patents annually and currently holds a portfolio of 20,000 patents.

More than 50% of Thales’ new patents involve key technologies related to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, big data, the cloud, augmented reality, and quantum technologies. Thales’ commitment to innovation in these areas enables the company to remain at the forefront of technological advancements and deliver the most cutting-edge solutions to its customers.
