SAS to provide analytical software to the Scottish Government

Marlow, UK, 24-May-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — SAS, the leader in analytics, is pleased to announce it has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to provide analytical software to the Scottish Government.

Across range of different areas, including education, welfare, child protection and social care, official statistics produced by the Scottish Government inform decision making and policy development to improve the lives of people in Scotland.

The agreement will see SAS provide an enhanced platform for use by the Scottish Government’s analytical teams, to support work to deliver these high quality official statistics, providing an accurate, up-to-date and meaningful evidence base to support policy development across Scotland.

Charles Senabulya, VP & Country Manager for SAS UK & Ireland, said: “This deal is our major milestone in developing the analytics capability of the Scottish Government. We look forward to working with the Office of the Chief Statistician in helping them deliver an even better service.”

SAS has offices in Glasgow and opened a dedicated research and development (R&D) centre there in 2014, focused on combatting fraud and financial crime.
