(PRESS RELEASE) TARNÓW, 7-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — A new Letter of Intent has been signed between Grupa Azoty and American Gas Partners, marking the beginning of discussions aimed at finalizing a potential agreement. If both parties come to terms, the deliveries would be managed through a specialized procurement platform that would include a select group of European gas purchasers and a designated pool of U.S. gas producers.

American Gas Partners is currently developing a large-scale infrastructure project in the U.S. that will facilitate the loading of liquefied gas, thereby significantly increasing export capacity to Europe, including Poland.

Hubert Kamola, Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A., stated, “Natural gas is key to our competitive edge, so we are actively seeking market opportunities to diversify our supply sources. We are in discussions with partners who can provide competitively priced products, supported by robust infrastructure and innovative business strategies.”

Pierce Kirby, President of American Gas Partners Inc., added, “We are excited to collaborate with Grupa Azoty. This transparent platform, supported by reliable U.S. gas producers, has the potential to offer real and cost-effective benefits from a stable region. Given the current geopolitical situation, we believe that our collaboration will provide substantial advantages for Poland.”
