Sky Vision pre-sold the Sky Atlantic drama series Fortitude to leading broadcasters

LONDON, 12-9-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — Sky Vision, the international distribution arm of BSkyB, has pre-sold the Sky Atlantic drama seriesFortitude to leading broadcasters, including  Canal + in France,  TV2 Denmark, SVT in Sweden, YLE in Finland, Canada’s Super Channel, NRK Norway, RUV Iceland, DBS Israel and OTE in Greece.  Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and PBS Distribution have picked up home entertainment rights.

Fortitude is an original Sky drama series, produced by Fifty Fathoms for Sky Atlantic. Sky Vision also secured US network, Pivot TV, as co-production partner.

Starring Stanley Tucci, Sofie Gråbøl, Christopher Ecclestone and Michael Gambon, Fortitude  is set in the savage Arctic landscape, and known as one of the safest towns on earth. There has never been a violent crime there. Until now. In such a close-knit community a murder touches everyone and the unsettling horror of this crime threatens the future of the town itself. As the cold Arctic darkness gives way to endless summer nights, this apparently idyllic community struggles to make sense of the murderous horror that has been let loose in its heart.
