Safran Electrical & Power Signs Exclusive Service Contract with Malaysia Airlines for Engine Maintenance

(IN BRIEF) Safran Electrical & Power has entered an exclusive three-year service contract with Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) to maintain electrical harnesses for their CFM56-7B engines, covering over 40 Boeing 737 aircraft in MAB’s fleet. The agreement includes repair and maintenance support with excellent turnaround time and extended warranty coverage, aiming to enhance Malaysia Airlines’ operational efficiency and competitiveness. (PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 22-Feb-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Safran Electrical & Power and Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) signed an exclusive service contract to maintain electrical harnesses for their CFM56-7B engines, for a period of three years. This contract covers more than 40 of the airline’s Boeing 737 fleet.

Beyond this contract, Safran Electrical & Power continues to support MAB’s operations through regional representatives located in Singapore for all customer support activities.

Safran Electrical & Power will provide repair and maintenance support on these CFM56-7B engine harnesses. MAB will benefit from the OEM repair services with excellent turnaround time and extended warranty coverage, as well as the exchange support for these harnesses. The agreement will enhance Malaysia Airlines’ operations and competitiveness.
