PUMA Strengthens GCC Leadership with Key Appointments in Middle East and Turkey

(IN BRIEF) PUMA has announced leadership changes to bolster its presence in the GCC and surrounding regions. Johan Kuhlo has been appointed as Managing Director for the GCC, overseeing key markets like the UAE and Saudi Arabia, effective September 1. Johan, who has been with PUMA since 2015, previously led the EEMEA Distribution division. Taner Seyis, who formerly led PUMA Middle East, will now manage the newly established Turkey & Levant region. Peter Dangl will succeed Kuhlo as Director of EEMEA Distribution.

(PRESS RELEASE) HERZOGENAURACH, 14-Aug-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Sports company PUMA has announced the appointment of Johan Kuhlo, 43, as the new Managing Director for the GCC region, effective September 1. In this role, Johan will oversee key markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman, and will report directly to PUMA CEO Arne Freundt.

Johan, who joined PUMA in 2015, has held several significant roles within the company, including Head of Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations. His most recent position was Managing Director EEMEA Distribution, where he successfully managed over 40 markets across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Taner Seyis, 47, previously responsible for PUMA Middle East and GCC countries, will now head the newly established Turkey & Levant region, which includes Turkey, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq. Taner, who has been with PUMA for nine years, will continue to report to CEO Arne Freundt.

Additionally, Peter Dangl, 37, who has been with PUMA for 15 years, will succeed Johan Kuhlo as Director EEMEA Distribution. Peter previously served as Head of Product Line Management Sportstyle Apparel before taking on the role of Director Sales EEMEA Distribution.
