Pöyry completed its Owner’s Engineer services assignment for B. Grimm Power (WHA)1 in Thailand

Pöyry has recently completed its Owner’s Engineer services assignment for B. Grimm Power (WHA)1, a co-generation power plant project of B. Grimm Power, Thailand’s fastest growing independent power producer.

HELSINKI, 02-Jun-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — B. Grimm Power (WHA)1 power station is a combined cycle gas turbine with a 130-megawatt electricity capacity located within Hemaraj Chonburi Industrial Estate, in Thailand’s Chon Buri province, which has been providing the power needs of several manufacturing and industrial companies since November 1. Now fully operational, the project further cements B. Grimm Power’s foothold as the country’s largest small power producer.

The project is a joint venture between B. Grimm Power PCL and WHA Energy Co. Ltd with Pöyry providing Owner’s Engineer services to the project over the 26 month-implementation period. It is the 8th CCGT plant for which Pöyry has provided OE services to B. Grimm Power for SPP rounds 2 & 3 since 2010.

Pöyry is managing at least three more OE projects with B. Grimm Power in support of its goal of building state-of-the-art power plants which will provide clean, reliable and affordable electricity and steam.
