Marc Langendorf appointed new Head of Global Corporate Communications at Volkswagen Group Communications

WOLFSBURG, 22-Jun-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — Marc Langendorf is to become the new Head of Global Corporate Communications at Volkswagen Group Communications. He will therefore assume responsibility for the business and corporate communications of Volkswagen. In this position, Marc Langendorf is to succeed Eric Felber, who has been appointed Head of the newly established Corporate Responsibility Communications Department with effect from July 1, 2018. In their new functions, they will both report to Peik von Bestenbostel (59), Head of Group Communications at Volkswagen.

Marc Langendorf (44) started his career as a journalist with Dow Jones, where he worked on the news service and the Wall Street Journal. From 2006 onwards, he held various responsible positions with Siemens AG, including Head of External and Internal Communications. From 2013 onwards, he was Deputy Head of the Global Corporate Communications & Governmental Affairs Department. Since 2015, Langendorf has provided advice on communications matters to companies in various different sectors in critical business situations as a Director of the Brunswick strategic communication consultancy agency.

Eric Felber (50) is a trained journalist and has worked for the Volkswagen Group since 2001. Following various positions in business and product communications with AUDI AG, he joined the Corporate Communications Department of the Volkswagen Group in 2011. In 2015, he became Head of Corporate Communications/Global Media Relations.  In future, as Head of Corporate Responsibility Communications, he will be responsible for the topics of CSR, environmental affairs and sustainability, sports, culture and society, guest & customer relations (up to now visitor services at the Wolfsburg plant) as well as the DRIVE Volkswagen Group Forum in Berlin.
