Leading Finnish Lawyer Micaela Thorström Joins Stora Enso as EVP, Legal and General Counsel

(PRESS RELEASE) HELSINKI, 29-Mar-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Stora Enso (HEL: STERV), a leading provider of renewable solutions in packaging, biomaterials, wooden constructions and paper, has announced the appointment of Micaela Thorström as Executive Vice President (EVP), Legal and General Counsel, and a member of the Group Leadership Team. Thorström will commence her new role in April 2023.

Thorström brings extensive legal expertise and experience to her new position at Stora Enso. She joined the company in 2015 as Legal Counsel and was promoted to Vice President of Group Legal in April 2022. Prior to joining Stora Enso, Thorström held several senior positions at leading Finnish companies and law firms, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Hannes Snellman, Lindholm Wallgren Attorneys, and Roschier.

With over 20 years of experience in corporate governance, finance-related legal advice, M&A, and capital markets, Thorström has a well-rounded legal background. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, which further demonstrates her impressive legal credentials.
