Åsa Jamal to lead the Group Communications at Vattenfall as she succeeds Karin Lepasoon

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 27-Jul-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — Vattenfall, a Swedish Government-owned multinational power company, has announced the appointment of Åsa Jamal, in effect as of September 1, 2022, as the company’s new Senior Vice President and Head of Group Communications in succession of Karin Lepasoon, who will be leaving the company for an external position.

Åsa Jamal has a solid background within communications, having been SVP and Head of Group Communications at Telia Company, SVP and Head of Communication and HR at Bonnier Broadcasting/TV4 and Partner and Managing Director at communications consultancy JKL.

Åsa Jamal will report to Vattenfall’s CEO Anna Borg, be a member of the Executive Group Management team and she will be based in Solna, Sweden.

Karin Lepasoon will remain with Vattenfall until September 25 2022 to ensure an efficient handover.
