Škoda Auto Begins Production of All-Electric Enyaq Family at Mladá Boleslav Plant

(IN BRIEF) Škoda Auto has officially started the production of the new Enyaq family at its Mladá Boleslav plant, marking a significant milestone for the Czech automaker. The fully electric Enyaq, now built alongside the Octavia and the all-new Elroq, introduces enhanced aerodynamics, sustainable interior materials, and new digital features, setting a new standard for electric vehicles in Europe.

(PRESS RELEASE) MLADÁ BOLESLAV, 27-Feb-2027 — /EuropaWire/ — ŠKODA AUTO, one of the world’s oldest car makers and Czech Republic largest private company part of Volkswagen Group, announces that it has begun production of its next-generation Enyaq family at the company’s Mladá Boleslav plant, following the success of the Enyaq’s predecessor, which became one of Europe’s top-selling all-electric models. The new Enyaq, now the second model to embrace Škoda’s Modern Solid design language, promises enhanced aerodynamics, sustainable materials, and cutting-edge digital features.

This milestone marks the continuation of Škoda’s commitment to electric mobility and innovation, with the Enyaq family benefiting from the flexibility of Škoda’s advanced production line. The Mladá Boleslav plant, which already produces the Škoda Octavia and the new Elroq, is the first Volkswagen Group facility in Europe where both internal combustion engine (ICE) and battery electric vehicles (BEV) are produced side by side. This flexibility allows Škoda to quickly adapt to evolving market demands.

The Enyaq family will be available with two battery sizes and three powertrain options, offering a range of over 590 kilometers (WLTP) for the Enyaq Coupé and more than 580 kilometers for the standard Enyaq. With a drag coefficient as low as 0.225 for the Enyaq Coupé, the new model benefits from enhanced aerodynamics, ensuring improved efficiency and extended driving range.

Inside, the Enyaq family boasts a generous array of standard features, including heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, KESSY Advanced, and advanced driver assistance systems like Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control (pACC) and Traffic Jam Assist. Škoda has also integrated new digital innovations, such as Remote Park Assist and Remote Trained Parking, offering greater convenience for drivers.

Andreas Dick, Škoda Auto’s Board Member for Production and Logistics, remarked: “The start of production for the new Enyaq family is a special moment for our team. This marks an important step in Škoda’s commitment to the Czech Republic and our role as a key player in the European automotive industry. By producing both BEVs and ICE models on the same line, we’re optimizing our operations and strengthening our long-term presence in the market.”

The new Enyaq family’s production is part of Škoda’s broader strategy to solidify its position in the electric vehicle market, further enhancing the appeal of its flagship EV in Europe and worldwide.
