(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 8-AUG-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — The Supervisory Board of Siemens AG has announced a series of executive leadership appointments aimed at accelerating the company’s transformation and value creation. The changes include the expansion of the Managing Board and the extension of key leadership contracts.

Key Appointments and Extensions

Cedrik Neike’s Contract Extension

Cedrik Neike, 51, a member of the Managing Board and CEO of Digital Industries, has received a five-year contract extension effective June 1, 2025. This extension reflects the Supervisory Board’s confidence in Neike’s ability to continue driving the transformation of Siemens’ industrial automation and software business and to capitalize on the shift towards a software-as-a-service model.

New Appointments

  • Peter Koerte, 48, has been appointed to the Managing Board as Chief Technology and Chief Strategy Officer, effective October 1, 2024. Koerte will oversee Siemens Xcelerator and Siemens Advanta. He brings extensive experience from various leadership roles within Siemens and Siemens Healthineers and has been instrumental in the successful launch and growth of Siemens Xcelerator.
  • Veronika Bienert, 51, has been appointed to the Managing Board as CEO of Siemens Financial Services, also effective October 1, 2024. Bienert has a distinguished 30-year career at Siemens, with significant international experience and a strong track record in management, strategy, and finance. Under her leadership, Siemens Financial Services has become a critical enabler for Siemens’ ecosystem.

Leadership Continuity and Strategic Direction

Jim Hagemann Snabe, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, will be proposed for a two-year extension of his role from February 2025. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized the importance of these leadership changes for Siemens’ strategic execution.
