(IN BRIEF) CapMan has joined the #Steps4Tukikummit campaign for the third consecutive year, helping raise EUR 120,000 to support equal opportunities for hobbies and recreational activities for children and young people in Finland. Together with several partner companies, employees participated in walking and running initiatives that generated tens of millions of steps in support of the Tukikummit Foundation. The campaign highlights growing corporate engagement in addressing social inequality and improving access to activities that support children’s wellbeing and inclusion.

(PRESS RELEASE) HELSINKI, 19-MaY-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — CapMan has participated in the #Steps4Tukikummit campaign for the third consecutive year, joining other Finnish organisations in a nationwide initiative aimed at supporting equal opportunities for children and young people to participate in hobbies and recreational activities regardless of their family’s financial situation.

The campaign, organised together with PwC Finland, The Otava Group and SAM Headhunting Finland, encouraged employees to take part in physical activity challenges while collectively raising awareness and funding for the Tukikummit Foundation.

During the campaign, participants accumulated tens of millions of steps through walking and running activities, helping raise a total of EUR 120,000 for the foundation’s work supporting children and young people throughout Finland. According to the organisers, all donations collected through the initiative are directed fully toward supporting children and youth programmes without administrative deductions.

The campaign concluded during the Helsinki City Running Day event, where employees and participants gathered to complete a variety of walking and running distances while celebrating the collective fundraising effort and community participation generated through the initiative.

CapMan CEO Pia Kåll said the campaign represents a meaningful way for employees to contribute together toward improving opportunities for children and young people. She highlighted the importance of hobbies and recreational activities in supporting belonging, confidence and stability in children’s everyday lives while reaffirming CapMan’s long-term commitment to supporting the Tukikummit Foundation.

The initiative addresses a growing social challenge in Finland, where more than 137,000 children reportedly live in very low-income households. According to campaign organisers, around one in three children in these families are forced to give up hobbies and extracurricular activities due to financial constraints.

Emilia Åberg said the campaign demonstrates the important role companies can play in promoting social equality when they actively engage employees and partners in community-focused initiatives. She noted that the campaign is not only about fundraising but also about encouraging broader collective action aimed at improving equal opportunities for children and young people.

The #Steps4Tukikummit campaign has now been organised for three consecutive years and has evolved into a larger movement involving businesses, employees and partners working together to raise both funding and awareness around social inequality affecting young people in Finland.

CapMan has supported the Tukikummit Foundation since 2014. Over time, the partnership has expanded beyond financial contributions to include broader collaboration and organisational support designed to strengthen the foundation’s long-term impact.

Since its establishment, the Tukikummit Foundation has raised more than EUR 8 million and supported over 75,000 children and young people across Finland through various assistance programmes and initiatives.
