Laxaskogen wind farm completed on schedule: 25.2 megawatts installed

(PRESS RELEASE) CUXHAVEN, 28-Feb-2019 — /EuropaWire/ — Project developer PNE AG has just completed the Swedish wind energy project Laxaskogen. The wind farm in Sweden has been developed by PNE on behalf of the owner and sold in 2017 to the German private investor Wirtgen Invest Energy GmbH.  Wirtgen Wind Invest is the German Wirtgen family’s investment vehicle for renewable energy investments.

The transaction and the construction phase have been accompanied for the investor by WiNRG GmbH, Hamburg. Sveaskog is the owner of the land where the wind park is built on.

Laxaskogen project is located in the South of Sweden, the municipality of Laxå, in a forest area continuously used by the modern Swedish forest industry.

The area has well developed infrastructure and is used by forest machines and transportation. The construction has been completed as agreed within the first quarter 2019 and could be concluded on schedule.

The Laxaskogen wind farm has 25.2 megawatts installed capacity divided by 7 turbines each with a capacity of 3.6 megawatts and height of maximum 200 meters per turbine.

WKN GmbH, majority controlled by PNE group, was responsible for the construction of the project.
