Kuehne+Nagel expands its healthcare warehouse facilities in Ireland to 40,000 sqm

(PRESS RELEASE) DUBLIN, 20-Jul-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — Kuehne+Nagel (SWX: KNIN), one of the world’s leading logistics companies, has announced the opening of its 4th healthcare warehouse in Ireland expanding the total space the company operates in the country to 40,000 sqm in total. The temperature-controlled facility is strategically located near the Dublin airport and Dublin port will go into operation this July (2022). The expansion aims at addressing the growing demands of Ireland’s thriving healthcare industry.

Ireland is one of the largest exporters of healthcare products globally, with over 50 FDA-approved manufacturing plants. Kuehne+Nagel’s commitment as market leader in healthcare logistics in the country continues with the investment in this new facility. It supports long-term collaborative partnerships with major players in the industry, enabling them to focus on core production and R&D activities.

The new HPRA-approved facility has been optimised for all storage, distribution, and quality activities. The facility uses energy-efficient equipment to maintain the warehouse at a controlled temperature between 15-25 degrees Celsius, and will house 34,000 Euro-pallet positions with segregated loading and unloading gates.
