(IN BRIEF) Deutsche Telekom has launched Voice AI Notes, an AI-powered service that automatically summarizes business phone calls for SMEs. The tool, based on Mistral AI’s Small 3 model and hosted on the GDPR-compliant Open Telekom Cloud, processes conversations in EU data centers without storing data. Priced at €1.95 per number per month, it transcribes calls, separates speakers, extracts action points, and emails summaries with calendar integration. Designed for industries such as trades, consulting, and facility services, the solution ensures privacy with audible consent announcements and deletes all recordings after use. Voice AI Notes will be available from mid-September 2025 for cloud PBX systems, with broader availability planned. Telekom will showcase the service at Digital X Cologne, which this year focuses on AI adoption across Europe.

(PRESS RELEASE) BONN, 11-Sep-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Deutsche Telekom has unveiled Voice AI Notes, a new service designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) save time and increase efficiency by automatically summarizing their business phone calls. Built on Mistral AI’s Small 3 model and operated entirely in European data centers via the Open Telekom Cloud, the solution is fully compliant with GDPR and does not store any conversation data.

Priced at just €1.95 per phone number per month (net, excl. VAT), Voice AI Notes eliminates the need for manual note-taking during phone calls. The system records the conversation (with participant consent), transcribes the dialogue, separates speakers, highlights key points, extracts action items, and even creates calendar entries for scheduled tasks or meetings. After each call, a structured summary is emailed directly to the user.

The service integrates seamlessly with cloud PBX systems, where users can activate the function on demand via keypad code or through their telephony app. An audible notification ensures transparency by informing all participants when AI note-taking is enabled. For industries such as crafts, facility management, mechanical engineering, and consulting, as well as for mobile workers on the go, Voice AI Notes provides a practical, hands-free solution to streamline workflows.

Unlike many U.S.-based AI services, Voice AI Notes is designed “from Europe for Europe”, offering transparency, data protection, and digital sovereignty. Processing takes place exclusively in EU data centers, and neither recordings nor summaries are retained for training purposes. All conversation content is deleted after delivery to the customer.

Klaus Werner, Director Business Customers at Telekom Deutschland, said:
“AI brings real value when it builds trust and delivers relief. Voice AI Notes shows that automation can be simple, affordable, and privacy-compliant, enabling SMEs to benefit immediately without obstacles.”

The solution will be available to Telekom business customers from mid-September 2025, initially for cloud PBX systems, with additional connection types to follow. Businesses can activate the feature directly through Telekom’s Business Service Portal.

Telekom will also present Voice AI Notes at Digital X Cologne on 10 September 2025, an event dedicated to artificial intelligence under the theme “Ready for AI?”, bringing together industry leaders, experts, and innovators to drive Europe’s digital agenda.

Digital X is coming to Cologne on September 10, 2025, as “Focus Edition AI”. Together with market-leading partners, outstanding speakers, visionaries, leading experts, and its guests, the digitization initiative aims to create tangible momentum for Europe’s digital agenda and take action together. For sustainable digitization and enhanced competitiveness. The Cologne event’s motto is “Ready for AI?”
