Infrastructure specialist Egis expands regional strategy with leadership transition in Poland

(IN BRIEF) Egis has appointed Renata Mordak as President of the Management Board for its operations in Poland as the company strengthens its regional presence amid growing infrastructure investment across transportation, energy and industrial sectors. Mordak, who recently joined Egis as Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe, will now oversee the company’s expansion efforts in Poland, where increasing government investment in rail, metro systems, defence and nuclear energy projects is creating new opportunities for engineering and consultancy services.

(PRESS RELEASE) WARSAW, 19-May-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Egis has appointed Renata Mordak as President of the Management Board for its operations in Poland as the company continues expanding its presence across transportation, energy and industrial infrastructure projects in Central and Eastern Europe.

The appointment became effective on 14 May 2026 and comes as Egis strengthens its strategic positioning in the Polish market amid increasing investment activity in sectors including rail, metro systems, tunnels, defence infrastructure and nuclear energy development.

Renata Mordak joined Egis in April 2026 as Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe and will now combine both leadership responsibilities as part of the company’s broader regional growth strategy.

The leadership transition also marks the departure of Cezary Saganowski, former President of the Management Board at Egis in Poland, who is leaving the company after playing a key role in developing the business over the past 15 years.

With nearly two decades of experience in infrastructure consulting, engineering and operational management, Mordak brings extensive expertise in transport and international project delivery across Central and Eastern Europe. Her background in economics and regional infrastructure development is expected to support Egis as the company responds to growing public and private investment opportunities throughout Poland.

In her new role, Mordak will oversee efforts to strengthen Egis’ market position while expanding the company’s capabilities across transportation, energy and industrial engineering projects. The company highlighted that Poland’s current investment environment — including major government programmes related to nuclear power generation, defence and transport infrastructure — presents significant opportunities for engineering and consultancy firms operating in the region.

Mordak said her focus will centre on scaling Egis’ operational capabilities, strengthening internal teams and improving project delivery while leveraging the broader international expertise available through the global Egis network.

She also emphasised the importance of maintaining close client relationships while integrating advanced technologies and international engineering experience into local operations.

The appointment reflects the growing importance of Poland within the wider European infrastructure market, where large-scale public investment programmes and energy transition initiatives are driving increased demand for engineering, consultancy and project management services.

Egis continues to expand its activities in Central and Eastern Europe as infrastructure modernisation, sustainable transport systems and energy diversification projects accelerate across the region.
