Teterboro, NJ, US, 30-1-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — Dassault Falcon Jet has named Rob Connolly Director of Aircraft Specifications and Design, in Teterboro. He replaces Roy Elsasser, who recently retired after serving the company for 33 years.

“Rob’s organization, product knowledge and problem solving abilities have been widely praised by both customers and colleagues alike,” said Carlos Brana, Senior Vice President of Teterboro Operations. “These attributes, along with his background and experience, will be a great asset for the department, the company and our customers in our ongoing effort to deliver aircraft with the most modern and finely crafted interiors.”

In his new position, Connolly will oversee the entire specifications and design process covering numerous activities from the moment the customer signs the contract through to delivery. Dassault Falcon Jet’s Spec & Design department includes 28 employees in Teterboro and 10 employees in Little Rock, where the majority of Falcons are completed and delivered.< The Spec & Design Dept helps customers select interior materials such as leather, carpeting and fabrics, define the seating configuration and select cabin management and avionics options to fit their mission profiles. Dassault uses advanced design tools such as CATIA in engineering interior configurations, and in 2010 became the first OEM to receive FAA approval to use 3D data for both type design and the completions process.

Connolly joined Dassault Falcon Jet in 1998, bringing with him over 15 years of technical experience and a solid customer service background. In the course of his career at the company he has served as an Interior Specification Coordinator, Contracts Administrator and most recently, as Contracts Manager.
