(IN BRIEF) ANDRITZ has secured a repeat order from Dalian Ruiguang in China to supply a new Wetlace™ production line for premium roll goods used in eco-friendly flushable wipes. The line, scheduled to start up at the end of 2026, will help Dalian Ruiguang increase its total annual production capacity to 40,000 tons and strengthen its position in the fast-growing market for sustainable hygiene products. The Wetlace™ nonwovens produced on the line will be pulp-based, biodegradable and designed to disperse quickly in sewage systems, meeting both the International Water Services Flushability Group standard and the Japanese JIS P 4501 flushing specification. The new line is designed for stable operation, high product quality and flexibility in raw materials and basis weights, allowing Dalian Ruiguang to respond to changing market and regulatory requirements. The order also extends a long-standing partnership between ANDRITZ and Dalian Ruiguang, which has already installed multiple ANDRITZ Wetlace™ and spunlace lines since 2014.

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 21-May-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — ANDRITZ has received a new order from Dalian Ruiguang in China to supply a Wetlace™ production line for premium roll goods used in eco-friendly flushable wipes. The order strengthens the long-standing partnership between the two companies and supports Dalian Ruiguang’s continued expansion in the sustainable hygiene products market.

The new Wetlace™ line will be used to manufacture pulp-based nonwovens for flushable wipes that are biodegradable and designed to disperse rapidly in sewage systems. The products are intended to meet the latest requirements for flushability, including the International Water Services Flushability Group standard and Japan’s JIS P 4501 flushing specification, both of which are becoming increasingly important for regulatory compliance and market acceptance.

The order has been included in ANDRITZ’s order intake for the second quarter of 2026, with start-up scheduled for the end of 2026. Once operational, the new line will help Dalian Ruiguang expand its total annual production capacity to 40,000 tons, further reinforcing its position in the growing market for sustainable, high-quality hygiene materials.

The production line is designed to deliver stable and efficient operation while maintaining consistently high product quality. It also provides flexibility in the use of raw materials and basis weights, allowing Dalian Ruiguang to respond more effectively to changing customer needs and evolving market standards.

Gu Dong Zhao, Vice President of Dalian Ruiguang, said the new Wetlace™ line represents an important step in the company’s growth strategy. He noted that Dalian Ruiguang’s long experience in flushable product innovation and production line upgrades, combined with ANDRITZ’s engineering expertise, manufacturing capabilities and local support, gives the company confidence in the project’s fast implementation and long-term reliability.

The latest order builds on a strategic relationship that has developed over more than a decade. Since 2014, Dalian Ruiguang has installed two Wetlace™ lines from ANDRITZ, including one dedicated to flushable wipes production and another using ANDRITZ TT carding combined with wetlaid pulp composite technology. The company has also installed three parallel, semi-crosslapped spunlace lines supplied by ANDRITZ.

With demand rising for hygiene products that combine performance with environmental responsibility, the new investment will enable Dalian Ruiguang to increase production of flushable wipe materials that meet stricter sustainability and wastewater compatibility expectations. The project also reflects the growing importance of advanced nonwoven technologies in helping manufacturers adapt to regulatory pressure and consumer demand for more sustainable disposable hygiene products.
